Having been with the YMCA for almost 19 years, I have had the opportunity to interact with multiple vendors. I have built new fitness centers, revamped old ones and refurnished over ten! As you know, this can a fun and rewarding process, but highly stressful.
Jason Sutton of New England Fitness Distributors has been an integral part of our fitness center design and equipment. He has innovative ideas, solid equipment and a strong sales & service team. He takes the stress out of these projects. Because of this, he is our #1 provider of cardio and strength equipment.
Most recently, when we added 1200 square feet to the YMCA of Greater Boston Burbank branch, Jason proved that it is not "all about making the sale". With just hours to go until we had our grand opening of our new fitness center, another vendor neglected to include our free weight order in our delivery. We picked up the phone to see if Jason could help us out. Within 10 hours, and entire line of free weights was delivered to our center.
This story was repeated at our Dorchester branch. Jason and NEFD provided free weights at the snap of the finger hence avoiding a period of time the members would not have weights!
Jason is always in contact with us asking what other services NEFD can help us with. He personally returns calls, visits the branch, tests the equipment and interacts with members of the staff. He supports our annual campaign, sponsors and attends our golf tournament and is willing to help with training.

Springfield College engaged building one of the largest fitness & wellness centers in the country and equipped over 23,000sq ft of exercise space in our new facility. Our process was a completely open bid process in which the best equipment vendors in the country were all invited to participate in. Right from the inception of the process, through a long and very detailed equipment bid list NEFD covered every detail and priced every item we asked for competitively and ahead of our deadlines. Their due diligence with questions and feedback and suggestions, along with their several options of excellent floor plan designs moved them to the forefront of our selection process. In the end, their ability to provide top quality equipment with unmatched service was the difference. We felt from ownership on down every NEFD employee was committed to our project and outperformed all other bidders and vendors. Their staff stops by unannounced just to see how things are going in our facility, and six months into opening their attention and customer service has continued to be excellent. The intangible that finally sold us on NEFD was the opportunity to work with the best good looking bald guy east of the Mississippi.

Since the early nineties, I’ve watched New England Fitness Distributors grow from infancy to a giant in the field of fitness equipment. Their knowledge of the industry, response time and their assistance in helping us develop a series of weight/fitness room facilities over the years has been exceptional.
Bentley College has recently completed a 10,000 sq. ft. fitness/work-out facility and a 7,000 sq. ft. athletic training room with the assistance of New England Fitness Distributors. The best way to understand how and what they do is to see the facility as the finished product and work backwards to see how much time they put into the planning and design for the functionality of this 17,000 sq. ft.
Changes were made on a regular basis by me which New England Fitness incorporated into the design. There were continuous adjustments, considerations, and suggestions. The cooperation we received from New England Fitness from inception to delivery and installation is immeasurable. Everyone is exceptionally thrilled with the end result.
I feel very strongly we have a state-of-the-art facility, second to none in New England, because of the direct involvement of New England Fitness. I wish there was a way for me to express my gratitude and support of their company for the amount time and work they have done.

In an effort to provide variety, we first outfitted our new fitness center using three separate vendors. It didn't take long to see that NE Fitness more than stood out from the crowd. In fact, I have found Justin Campbell to be the most outstanding sales representative I have worked with during my career in university recreation. He's helpful, kind, courteous, and most important, he's genuine. He and NE Fitness have truly worked with our best interest in mind at all times. While many companies work hard to gain your business and then disappear, NE Fitness has worked harder since gaining our business. I know that even if we do find a problem, one call to Justin and the problem is solved in less that 48 hours. You just don't find that service anywhere else.
Over time
we have come to realize that the products that NE Fitness offers are the most cutting edge, the most reliable, and the most popular machines in our center. When the time comes down the road to turnover our equipment there's no doubt that we will be exclusively outfitted and serviced by New England Fitness. There's just no reason to go any other way.

Briefly, they are as follows:
In our early stages of writing the grant, Justin Campbell was the only vendor to return my calls.
He assisted with layout, design and equipping our fitness facility. Justin is extremely
professional, answers our questions in a timely fashion, went out of his way to be accessible
(even through his marriage process!) and is very aware of our needs. He lends his experience to
help us avoid some of the pitfalls with regard to equipment purchase and facility arrangement.
He is able to be flexible within a budget and has offered many options and ideas that were
pertinent to our particular situation.
The service has been incredible throughout this entire process. New England Fitness is a
company that I can recommend without reservation.
